Number of EIT ICT Labs Testbeds and Living Labs

EIT ICT Labs has 12 software and hardware platforms that are used for testbeds to experiment with new applications and services. Six Experience and Living labs support the testing and modification of product and service design to meet market and user demands. Testing in these labs are done in close collaboration with the end-users in real-life or real-as-life settings.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The results of EIT ICT Labs will be measured against a set of coherent KPIs, involving utilisation of EIT ICT Labs brokered platforms (testbeds, Living Labs, Experience Labs etc), impact of co-locations to mobility of people and ideas, co-located work etc. More specifically the following will be measured within education;

  • number of teaching EIT -branded programs
  • number of students following an EIT-branded program
  • EIT-branded M.Sc. and Ph. D. graduates

within research;

  • number of successful utilization of EIT ICT Labs catalysts to catalyse co-funded carrier activities

within business:

  • number of Ventures
  • Total Euros per third-party investments
  • number of take-up of EIT ICT Labs catalysed products and services
