Digitéo is the first French research cluster in science and technology of information. Digiteo gathers world-class research centres and fosters a collaborative approach to research projects. It has implemented an innovative approach of technology transfer.
Digiteo was founded in 2007 at the initiative of a group of organizations on the Saclay plateau and with government support. It is the first research cluster in France dedicated to information and communication science and technology. Digiteo specializes in the design, development and verification of software intensive complex systems from basic science to technologies.
Digiteo's key priorities are therefore to develop its scientific excellence, encourage the international influence and appeal of its founder members and increase the economic impact of its research. One of the methods it uses is to encourage joint actions: research projects, chairs, visiting scientists programme and technology transfer projects. By pooling its members’ resources and skills, Digiteo uses a network effect to increase effectiveness.]
Along with members’ individual actions, Digiteo’s technology transfer activities are focused on joint projects and identification of best practice.
Digiteo is located on the Saclay plateau, a booming research territory in Ile de France, close to Paris. The Saclay Plateau gathers about 10% of the French research potential and 20% of the ICST research potential.
