Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Funds is an independent public fund which under the supervision of the Finnish Parliament promotes the welfare of Finnish society. Sitra's principal task is to improve the renewal and to support the implementation of new and agile operating principles in the society.
One of their aims is to enable new and growing business in Finland, especially on the basis of ecosystems and models across technology borders and industry branches. This can be done e.g. through new human centric operational models in which various knowledge areas are combined and proceed interactively from developing the idea to business through experiments and product/service development.
By linking networks of mentors and business sponsors to these models, prerequisites for the needed development are established. Sitra will work with EIT ICT Labs Helsinki to achieve these goals together and at the same time to ensure the synchronisation to it’s other activities.
