The Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) at Stockholm University carries all academic activities; under- and postgraduate teaching and research. Residing near the co-location centre in Kista, one of the world's leading ICT cluster, DSV also have a close cooperation with KTH.
DSV conducts teaching and research in the area of ICT including: information systems and their applications in business contexts; data mining and methods for analysis of complex systems; security management; human-computer interaction; computer and pervasive games; Internet and mobile services for work and leisure.
The research conducted at DSV is cross-disciplinary and brings together technological and social aspects. It spans subject areas such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, philosophy, psychology, linguistics, linguistics and economy. The results are relevant for a number of application areas such as e-Government, e- health, e- learning, etc.
The research that is carried out at DSV are mainly focused within the following EIT ICT thematic action lines of Smart Energy Systems, Health and wellbeing and Future Media and Content Delivery.
