INRIA is a public research establishment under the supervision of the French Ministries of Research and Industry entirely dedicated to information and communication science and technology.
For more than 40 years, INRIA has supported the economic and social transformations linked with the dissemination of digital technologies. As such, together with its academic and industrial partners, it conducts at the highest international level an increasingly infuential activity in fundamental research and technology development.
INRIA hosts 3,150 researchers in more than 174 project teams of which the majority collaborates with other organisations, universities and higher education institutions. There are eight regional research centres: Paris - Rocquencourt, Sophia Antipolis – Méditerranée, Grenoble – Rhône-Alpes, Nancy – Grand Est, Rennes – Bretagne Atlantique, Bordeaux – Sud Ouest, Lille – Nord Europe, Saclay – Île-de-France.
