Orange-France Telecom is the number three mobile operator, the number one provider of broadband Internet services in Europe and one of the world leaders in providing telecommunication services to multinational companies. Orange Labs (formerly France Telecom R&D) and CNET have been major actors in the emergence of the Internet. Orange-France Télécom has a long history of collaboration with the other EIT ICT Labs French partners (INRIA, Institut Télécom, Alcatel, etc.). Current collaboration exemplified by joint participation in research projects addressing for instance; PostIP, Virtualisation & Autonomics, Quality of Service in the network and Internet of Things will continue within the EIT ICT Labs framework.
