To develop a common culture of experimentation in research and foster their take-up into innovation applications and services, EIT ICT Labs catalyse the development of common test-beds, testing platform and simulation tools. It encompasses both hardware and software platforms, as well as simulation tools in order to test applications, service platforms, service set-ups and algorithms, typically with respect to functionality, performance and conformance. 

The catalysing support is focused on supporting experiments, enhance existing test-beds and training activities at the Co-location Centres. A particular emphasis is made on the use of the Co-location Centre facilities to support experimenters.
