"Imagine the Future in ICT”, organized by Inria, together with EIT ICT Labs partners in the Paris co-location centre, September 3 to 7, 2012. Registration extended to May 31st.

The 2012 edition will address the challenges of data management in today's digital world. The scientists' lectures will emphasize on the future - what might be the state of the art in 5 years - and the industrial speakers will relate and share their own success stories. Hence it will foster a working community involving both students, young innovators and speakers. 

To this aim, most of the speakers will be ERC (European Research Council) laureates who will bring an ambitious and ground-breaking vision of their field. In order to favor discussions and exchanges, the audience will be limited to highly motivated people (no more than 40 persons). Download the Thematic presentation here

In the guidance of academic staff from a business school, an entrepreneur and a business angel, the students will discuss and learn the basic elements of entrepreneurship in general, how to make a business plan and turn an invention into an innovation.

The Trento Node of EIT ICT Labs will officially open its Co-location Centre as the central EIT ICT Labs in Italy and home of the Italian Node management team.

The Co-location Centre is based in Povo, in the outskirt of Trento, and clusters its core Partners, Engineering, Telecom Italia and TrentoRise, andconnects with its affiliated Partners: CRF, STMicroelectronics, Politecnico of Milan, Politecnico of Turin, Istituto Superiore Sant’Anna - Pisa, Bologna University, CNR.

We plan to kick off the day with a “Lectio Magistralis” on the theme of “European Countres and Innovation” given by prof. Wolfgang Wahlster, followed by a Round Table discussion on “Innovation strategies for Italy”. We expect the participation of the Ministry of Innovation and Education, Mr. Francesco Profumo, and of key people from Institutions and Industry.

In the afternoon you will have the opportunity of visiting premises of the Italian Node and take a look at demos resulting from the activities of the Italian Partners in the KIC ICT areas. Program of the event
